Woman, 3-Month-Old Baby Missing Out Of DC Since Late December: MPD

Concerns are mounting as the search continues for a mother and daughter who have been missing out of DC for nearly a week.

An alert was issued by the Metropolitan Police Department on Thursday as they seek the public's assistance in tracking down Kristin and Freedom Sherman, who have been missing since Friday, Dec. 29 from the 5000 block of D Street SE. 

Kristin Sherman was described as being 5-foot-4, weighing between 140 and 150 pounds with long red hair, brown eyes, and a scar on her upper lip.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans and brown boots.

The 3-month-old child was last seen being pushed by Sherman in a black Greico brand stroller in Southeast DC. She was described as being a White infant with "a small amount of brown hair and an unknown clothing description." 

It is now being investigated by the department's Youth and Family Services Division.
